About Shelda Bede:
She used to play volleyball. At the age of 18, she started playing beach volleyball. She faced a severe accident in 1991. Her right hand was amputated. She had the grit and the dogged determination to play the game of beach-volleyball.
Her diligence and determination enabled her to play with left hand She played beach-volleyball with greater enthusiasm and emerged as the winner of international beach-volleyball competition.
Shelda Bede and Olympics:
She used to play with Adriana Behar. They participated in Olympics in 2000. They gave a decent performance in the Olympics by winning in 4 games. They, however, lost to the Australians in the grand finale.
Shelda Bede and her companion Adriana Behar emerged as the world champions in the Olympics of 2001. Shelda Bede participated in the Olympic of 2004 in Athens along with her companion. They defeated Natalie Cook and Nicole Sanderson. Shelda Bede and her partner reached the finals of 2004 Olympics and were defeated by Misty May and Kerri Walsh.
Shelda Bede won the gold and silver medals in beach-volleyball in the Olympics of 2001 and 2004.
She was successful because of her passion and love for beach-volleyball.
Beach Volleyball is emerging as one of the most popular sports. The players have to be extremely skilled and agile to play beach-volleyball. The players also need to possess the stamina to bear the scorching heat of the sun and the gusty wind of the sea.
